The Prophet (peace be upon him) said:
ANY WOMAN WHO LEAVES HER HOUSE AFTER PERFUME AND PASSES NEXT TO PEOPLE SO THEY CAN SMELL HER SMELL IS A FORNICATOR. (REPORTED IN THESE TERMS BY IBN HIBBÂNE (4424), AND IBN KHOUZAYMA (1681)).
The ban therefore applies to all women whether they wear the Hijab or not.
Forbid a woman to wear perfume when leaving her home, to go and pray at the mosque, to visit one of her Mahârim or to go shopping, etc.
